My name is Makaila Cooper. I play travel softball for Michigan Lookouts. I became interested in softball through coach-pitch baseball at a young age. Throughout my career, I’ve become more responsible and a leader. I always try my hardest to encourage those on my team, especially when they start to get down on themselves. My academic goals for high school are to take as many AP classes as possible and graduate with at least a 4.2 GPA. As of right now, I have a 4.2 GPA. My academic goal for college is to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or get an MBA. My freshman year of high school I was the JV softball captain. This year on varsity I am a captain who was voted in by my teammates. I personally took the time after practices to work with fellow teammates to help improve their fielding. I always work hard to help improve my own skills as well as others.
