I became interested in softball when I was five or six.  My dad introduced me to the sport because he played baseball his whole life.   I enjoy the challenge, competition and team aspects of softball.  I have learned many things from the sport.  I have learned that the game can be a roller coaster of success and failure.  It has taught me to be more even keeled and not get too high or low.  It has reinforced the hard work ethic that my parents have instilled in me and that has set me apart. I enjoy trying to be the best I can be at a sport where failure is part of the game.   I believe the results I achieve are tied to the effort I make on the practice field and in the classroom.

I am an excellent student and take my academics very seriously.  My high school academic goals are to graduate with a 4.0 or better. I also would like to look back and think I did my best all the way through high school and challenged myself by taking classes that would always challenge me and keep me thinking. For college, my academic goals are to take classes that interest me. Currently that would be in the Science or Engineering fields.

I am extremely determined to do everything I can to reach my goals I have set for myself. I understand that to meet these objectives that it takes hard work and I will never shy away from putting the required work in to succeed.
