Peyton Steffes '23 Recruiting Profile

I love the game of softball. I love the competition on the field, and I crave the contagious energy that spreads throughout a dugout. I enjoy learning from coaches and other players so that I can improve, and I encourage my teammates on and off the field. The one thing that makes me stand out as a softball player is my speed. Whether I am tracking balls in the outfield or stealing bases, my speed makes me a threat on the field. As a left-handed hitter, there are a number of ways that I can get on base: drag bunt, push bunt, hard slap, soft slap, and full swing. I also have home run power and can drive in runs. When I am in the outfield, I get great jumps on the ball and catch everything in the air. I routinely rob home runs and make diving catches in the outfield. I achieve great results on the diamond as a result of my hard work. Whether it's at-home workouts, going to the gym, or attending extra practices, I am consistently working to become a better player. I work just as hard in the classroom to achieve great grades and to push myself academically. I have a 4.45 GPA/1430 SAT and I am challenging myself every day in honors and AP courses. I want nothing more than to take my softball career to the next level and to one day play in college.
