Payton Lewis '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Payton Lewis and I am a Sophomore at Vicksburg High School.  My goal, ever since I was young, was to play college softball.  My goal now is to continue my education at a higher level, while continuing to compete at the game of softball at a higher level.  I will continue to drive myself to be the best I can be both on the field and in the classroom so that I can make the most of the opportunities to develop and grow so that I am better prepared for life after college.  Being a shortstop means that I am a leader both on and off the field.  I enjoy leading my team and ensuring they know the situation in the game at all times, and encouraging them to keep fighting the entire game.  I give 100% the entire game and do not stop until the last inning is over, no matter what.  I love competing at high levels and am determined to continue this at the next level.  The determination and competitive nature I have developed through softball has helped me to push myself to get straight A's in school and always strive to do my best.  I will always conduct myself with respect and honor on and off the field, knowing that the way I conduct myself represents my team, my coaches, my school, and my family.
