Hi! My name is Emma Kirksey and currently am in my Freshmen year at Watervliet High School. I have had a passion for softball since I first stepped in the dirt for T-Ball at 6 years old. I have been selected for the All Star team every season since 8u. I have been playing for the St. Joseph Xtreme Travel Softball Club since 10u in 2020. This season I have joined the Finesse Organization and am really excited to see where this new team takes me. In 2023 I tried out for the USSSA All American Games and was selected to play for the Mustangs 12u team in Florida. More recently I have been chosen as a Direct Invite for the USSSA All American Games 2024 and . I had the privilege of being asked to be the manager of our High School Varsity Softball Team as a 7th grader, and was asked to return as manger for the 2024 season as an 8th grader. This was beneficial to me as I get to practice indoors throughout the winter and outdoors for spring/summer at the varsity level. I am currently working with a private pitching coach weekly, and have been consistently for the past 2 years. Most would say it is hard to believe I have only been throwing for two years. In addition I have been working one on one for hitting lessons with my hitting coach, whom played D2 college softball for Ferris State University. I would say it has paid off as I hit my first out of the park home run in April, and a second in May!!! I am a multisport athlete, but when I am not at practice you will find me throwing a ball, swinging a bat, or at the gym. My plans are to play college softball while earning a degree in Sports Medicine. Academically, I have been on the honor roll each semester, and am a part of our schools honor club. I hold myself to a high academic standard while participating in sports. After completing college, my dream is to play softball professionally. The next best thing for me is to be found on the side lines of a professional sports team tending to their medical needs.
