My name is Isabelle Krawiecki and I will be starting my senior year at Isle High School, which is located in a small town near Mille Lacs Lake. I am a very versatile athlete and defensively I've played in left field, center field, third base, short stop, and second base. My speed, quick glove and ability to react instantaneously to the ball, make me an outstanding candidate for third base, however, I would perform in the position that my coach feels would strengthen the team. Offensively I have been batting first or second in the order. Because of my speed, I am able to steal bases regularly which has given me the opportunity to place myself in scoring position often. Showing up early to practice, working on strength training and batting lessons in the off season, and encouraging and staying positive throughout the year demonstrates my ability to lead by example and be a team player. I do know that I would like to continue my education after completing high school, however at this point in time, I am unsure of what I would like to specialize in. I consider academics to be the most crucial aspect of college, however, being part of a team will give me the opportunity to develop life long friendships, allow me to reinforce teamwork skills, and maximize involvement at my new school. I have worked extremely hard to obtain good grades throughout my school years maintaining a grade point average over a 3.0, while participating in several extracurricular activities. I am not a straight A student and school can be extra challenging for me at times, however I have set high standards and I will continue to work hard to maintain good grades. I have challenged myself with online and ITV (Interactive TV) classes. Learning how to study online and communicate with classmates and teachers through email instead of face to face conversation is an adjustment and a skill that I have become proficient in. My goal is to take college classes through PSEO my senior year, which will strengthen my educational experiences and knowledge. I hope the information I shared with you demonstrates that I am dedicated to my education and softball career. I will always try to set a good example and work hard in hopes that others will look up to me.
