Payton Trombley '19 Recruiting Profile

I have played softball since seventh grade, the minute that I stepped onto the field I fell in love with the game. Over the years through hours and hours of blood, sweat , and tears my passion continues to grow.  Ever since cheering on the Minnesota Gophers in the spring of 2016 my goal has been to play softball at the college level.    

What makes me a good candidate is my strong work ethic,  positive leadership,  determination, and passion.  Both on and off the field I strive to be a positive leader by encouraging my teammates to work hard and push towards our goals.   I am very determined to continue developing my fielding, batting, and base running skills.  I am always the first one on the field and the last one to leave; soaking up every minute that I can under the direction of my coach who was a Gopher herself.   

My dedication is just as strong in the classroom.  I hold myself to a high standard to get good grades and work maintain a 3.5 grade point average.
