This last year has been an ultimate test for my Softball journey I was able to be scouted as a pitcher for a select 16U ball team (Southside Prospects). I came off a season from Northwest High School with a record high of 2022 Pitches not a winning season, but it tested my will power to complete each game leaving the circle proud. During the fall season I ended up having an injured arm (Dr. diagnosis of Shoulder/Bicep Tendinous) after 3 games with the Southside Prospects. Injury didn't stop me from all the physical therapy to get back to the team. My season with Southside Prospects lasted from March 2024-June 2024 as the Pitcher/1st base I ended my season in June with an ACL tear. My Dr. Shalen Kouk did the surgery and has been with me every step of the way. My plan is returning to sports this Spring and running for my track and field team. Then going into this summer of 2025 to return to the circle.
At this time, I have a 3.5 GPA and have been focusing on the academic's while not on the field or on the track. I have been taking dual course work to test myself in the books and just not on the field. I believe that I would be a good candidate because of my willingness not to give up and wanting to strive to be my best self for my team. My character defends me in many ways. I'm a person of heart meaning my ability to reach for a higher expectation than myself and continue to learn and grow to be more than I am.
