2022 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Out of all the sports my parents signed me up for when I was younger, I liked softball the most and I stuck with it. It’s weird because it was the most challenging sport, but I prefer the challenge and I strive to be better than my past self. I have confidence on the mound and at the plate because I know I can at least do better than the previous game. Even if I don’t do perfect, I can still point out the positives, and then the negatives can set my new goal for the next game or practice. I would love the opportunity to play softball for as long as I can. Softball is my balance, it keeps everything in line and it keeps me sane, it motivates me to do better in everything whether that’s academics or athletics. I know I can’t play softball if I don’t have the grades and I wouldn’t have the motivation to make good grades if I didn’t have a reward like softball, it’s balance.
