My name is Baylee Knorr and I attend DeKalb High School in Missouri-Class of 2020. Being the starting varsity catcher my freshman year has helped me grow as a leader and as a softball player. I have been playing softball since I was three and started catching during machine pitch. I am very versatile and can play first, third, and outfield but being a catcher is my passion. Softball has always been a big part of my life, but I strive to also excel in the classroom. I am a student-athlete and academics have always come first for me. Because of my hard work I am ranked first in my class. Also, because of this same commitment on the field, I was able to break two school records and receive offensive player of the year for 2017.
I want to continue my education by getting a degree in physical therapy and playing softball in college is just an added bonus. I feel this could make my college experience even more enjoyable and rewarding. I plan to take my physical therapy degree and someday help athletes get healthy and back to playing a sport they love. I truly feel softball has taught me commitment, to be focused and driven, and above all how to be a teammate. These qualities are something I will take with me into college and into the workforce someday. I am ready and looking forward to playing softball in college!
