Hi! My name is Laila Troxler, I'm a 2023 Middle Infield/Utility from Kansas City Missouri. I play on the varsity softball team at Liberty North High School. I've been playing softball for around 9 years now, it's truly influenced me and made me the person I am today. I love softball because it brings me to people that will push me and always look out for me as well as teach me lessons I can use on and off the field. I also love the competitiveness that comes with playing softball, being surrounded by great competition all the time really pushes me as a player to get better.
I'm looking for a college that will support me on the field as well as off the field, I know how important it is to get an education and I know that school comes first. I want to go somewhere with good psychology and criminology/criminal justice programs. I want to be a criminal psychologist just because I really love listening to people's stories and understanding how their experiences have shaped them into the person they are and the decision they make. I also want to go somewhere I can get decent finical aid and maybe a scholarship, which would definitely affect my decision-making with a school. I'm very much willing to travel farther for a school, I would actually really like to go to a school out of state. I would also like to go to a school where my skills can be used early whether that's with base running or with hitting. I'm also looking at bigger schools, attending a decent-sized high school I want to go to a college that's a decent size as well.
In school I'm in Student Council, I'm also a committee chair for one of our committees and I'm in the Practical Leadership class. I'm also involved in other clubs like Black Studnet Alliance, Student Ambassadors, Executive Council with Females Empowered, KEY Club, and Diversity Club. Outside of school, I volunteer with KEY Club and Females Empowered, I'm also a volunteer teen coach/instructor at Kansas City Athlete Training.
