- At Rising Starz Sports Academy, we are trained in movement, posture, strength and softball skills including running, fielding, throwing and hitting. The Director, Dan Purpura, is a former minor league baseball player and a certified personal trainer. Dan has really helped me with my athletic movements, softball skills and confidence as an athlete.
