College softball has been a dream of mine since I was 6 years old. As a small child I would watch college softball on television and dream of being in their shoes. Playing softball for many years has made me the person I am today. I am thankful for the discipline and characteristics I built along the way. From commanding the field to being a positive leader, this has only inspired me to want more. One quality that sets me apart from others is the ability to lead in a positive way. I strive hard to make sure everyone on my team is included, even the younger classmates which sometimes get overlooked. Being a positive leader has earned me respect on the field. Another quality that sets me apart is my drive and competitive nature. I do not let obstacles get in the way of achieving my goals. The discipline and confidence I have acquired as a player has transferred over to my everyday life.
