Maria Cuccurullo '15 Recruiting Profile

Softball is my passion in life.  I began playing at the age of five and never stopped.  Every year I have played recreation, school, or travel softball, usually a combination of the three.  My primary positions are shortstop and catcher.  Being an extraordinary fielder, I can and have played any position, with the exception of pitcher, with accuracy.  I am a fast runner and am able to bunt successfully thus contributing to my high on-base-percentage and my most recent batting average of over .600.  I am only 4'11'', therefore I have always had to play better and work harder to prove myself.  I have consistently done this, having been the captain of my travel team and most recently being voted MVP of my school softball team.   Beyond softball, I am an A student with a 3.8 GPA.  I am also a member of The National Honor Society.  I am planning to study architecture in college.
