Hello, my name is Emma Romano and I attend Becton Regional High School in East Rutherford, NJ. I have played varsity softball since my freshman year. Softball is a sport I have been very passionate about since elementary school. Growing up, I've played a variety of different sports and learned that I am most passionate about softball. My character and ethics have helped me grow as a person, and athlete.
I began playing club softball when I was 12 years old. I played for New Jersey Pride and competed year round in tournaments around the state. After an injury, I stopped competing and focused on softball going into high school. After playing varsity, I joined the Mount Olive Marauders club team and played tournaments all throughout summer and fall. Now, I am 17 and play for the New Jersey Pride Showcase team, in hopes to showcase my abilities to college coaches.
School and my everyday life have taught me a lot about softball. I have learned the work ethic, patience and mental abilities that come with the game. School has taught me that making mistakes and asking questions is perfectly okay. I have learned teamwork from the game, which I bring to my everyday life.
I am incredibly interested in furthering my softball career in softball at the college level. I would love to play any division level in college. I plan on majoring in criminal justice. Location wise, I am open to most locations in the US, but prefer the Mid-Atlantic, North-east region.
