I started playing softball when I was 7 years old on my town rec team. I transitioned to travel ball in order to grow more and improve my game play. I love the game and the competition that softball offers. One of my most important accomplishments in sports is having played varsity softball since my freshman year in high school. I have always been willing to learn and play at any position that would help my team have the best opportunity to be successful. My primary position is 2nd base, but for my high school team I play 3rd and 1st base. On my travel team, I play 3rd, 2nd, 1st and outfield. I am usually 4th, 5th or 6th in the batting lineup. I have a private hitting and fielding instructor as well as a personal trainer to work on strength and conditioning. I always work hard at whatever I do, and that includes holding myself to maintaining a high GPA at school.
When I’m not in school or playing softball, I like to get together with my friends. I also enjoy volunteering my time for a dog rescue and at Camp Invention during the summer.
One of my goals is to be an academic athletic in college. I am mainly looking at small to mid-sized rural schools in the Mid-Atlantic Region. I am interested in pursuing a major in finance, business or accounting at a college/university that can provide an excellent education to prepare me for the future, while still being a positive contributor to a competitive softball team.
