My name is Katie Ciuffreda, and I am a rising junior at Lawrence High School in Lawrenceville, NJ.
I have always been active in sports. I've played soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball. I was a Little League baseball All Star starter for 5 years, and played every inning of every game at shortstop in two years of middle school softball. I played travel soccer for 8 years (goalie and midfielder), and won two events at the Mercer County CYO 2018 CYO Track and Field Meet (softball throw and soccer kick). As a freshman softball player, I was named as a varsity starter and played various positions, including 2B, 3B, SS, and OF - depending on who was pitching at the time. On the soccer field, I have been the goalie on a 19U club team.
I have also been active in musical theatre. Recently, I've been cast as a Featured Singer/Pit Diva in Mama Mia, played Annie in Annie the Musical, Young Simba in The Lion King, Pinocchio in Shrek the Musical, and Aquata in The Little Mermaid. I have received the President's Volunteer Service Award for my work with Teal Tea Foundation and The Church of Saint Ann.
I plan to study Business or Education in college, and am looking for an opportunity to make an impact as a softball player on campus as I intend to be both a teacher and a coach.
