Personal Statement

My name is Jalena Santiago and I’m 17 years old. I attend Perth Amboy Magnet School in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. I’m a 2023 Graduate. When I was younger I was involved with gymnastics and playing baseball with my brothers. When I was in the 7th grade I was exposed to softball and genuinely expressed great interest in the sport. My hometown had a recreational team, and from there my softball career took off. I push myself every day to get better at what I love. I am a very coachable athlete, I work hard, am dedicated and committed to whatever I set my mind to. I am fast and easy to learn more about anything that will help me succeed. I am hoping to bring my love of the sport and my hard work ethic to the college level.

I've been training with this academy for 2 years now. I've been successful in the pitching circle thanks to them for always working hard with me.
