Deja Rose Fernandez '22 Recruiting Profile

I have a special bond with softball and definitely an incomparable love for it. From the first time a nervous, insecure 5th grade girl walked up to the batter's box anxiously waited for the pitcher to make the 1st pitch, I've felt an unmatched adrenaline and knew from that moment this was MY sport. That same 5th grade girl slowly began to shed her insecurities with every throw, every hit, every run, every caught and dropped balls and confidence grew in its place. Needless to say that my passion for softball continues to grow with every crack of the bat. If I could accomplish joining softball with my academics for my college career, it would be more than a dream come true, it would be one of the best chapters in my story.
