Hello my name is Leigha Borusovic, it is a pleasure to meet you and thank you for taking the time to read about me. As a Junior in high school; Class of 2025, I started thinking about what I would like to do in the the near future. At first, I was thinking about what I wanted my high school experience to be like, which then led me to think about what I wanted to study after high school. I am very interested in obtaining a criminology and law degree or criminal justice degree, but in both case, I knew right away, I wanted to play sports. Being apart of a team gives me the sense of happiness, freedom and accomplishments to be myself; to strive for more.
I will explain briefly about my experiences and from there let you be the judge in wether or not, I will be a future asset to your school. For starters, I have been playing softball since I was 5 years old threw recreational teams, like Sayreville AA and South River Recreational program, but I advanced to the Middle School Softball team for all three years. In my softball career, I have experiences as a pitcher, which is not my strongest quality. I was also a Middle School catcher, but my main position is 3rd Baseman, and Left Fielder. If you watch my video you will quickly find one of my strongest qualities is my batting skills. In High School I made Varsity for Softball my Freshmen year as the starting Left Fielder.
Just one my quick tip about me, in my family, my mom believes in diversity in sports, while in the off season for softball, I also play other sports. This leads me into my experience on competitive Cheering teams. I have been competing since I was 6 years old, since then I have made it to Summit in Disney, and my one team took 1st place in U.S. Finals at Virginia Beach. Cheering is a big part of who I am, it has taught me a great deal of confidence, team goals and pride. Which I bring with me to the field.
As a Junior now, my first sport I played for high school was on the Varsity Volleyball team. I made our High School Varsity Cheerleading team. I also dance for fun at our local dance school in town twice a week all the while continue honing my skills set in Softball, with private lessons. The reason I share this with you, is simple because it is important to show my dedication to which ever sport I play and I always have the support I need to achieve my goals.
Thank you again for your time and consideration. I hope to see you on the field.
Sincerely,
Leigha Borusovic
