May 2020 Maddie Murphy's S...
Maddie Murphy's S...I have been playing softball for most of my life and it has been one of my most rewarding experiences. Softball has taught me how to be a good teammate and when to be a leader. There have been good times and challenging times but I wouldn't change any of them because all of those experiences have helped me to grow as a player and reinforced my desire to play in college.
I am not afraid of hard work both on and off the field. In school, I am an A- student and earned Magna Cum Laude honors during my Sophomore year. I am currently a Junior and taking a mixture of AP and Honors courses. I also play clarinet in the Wind Ensemble and had the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall! On weekends, I volunteer for the local EMT Squad. This past summer, I traveled to the Dominican Republic for a Global Health Initiative with the volunteer GLA program. In college, I plan to pursue a degree in Health Sciences.
If you were to ask my coaches and teammates to describe me, they would say that I am outgoing and fun to be around and can be counted on when needed. My teachers would say that I am studious and driven to succeed. If you are looking for a player who is always ready for a challenge, eager for feedback and a team player, then look no further!
