My name is Alannah Sanchez, and I am a senior in high school. I love playing sports and participate in varsity volleyball, basketball, softball, and track at my high school. Although I love playing all sports, softball is my passion! I started off playing machine pitch in little league when I was 4, and haven’t put down the ball since. I started playing at my high school my freshmen year, and I have been All District all three years, and was All State my freshmen year. I usually pitch or play short stop, but I will play wherever my team needs me. My heart, leadership abilities, dedication and the willingness to listen, learn and be taught set me apart as an athlete.
This will be my last year of high school softball, and I am looking forward to making it a memorable season, but I can’t imagine my life without softball, that’s why I want to pursue playing college softball.
Although sports are a big part of my life, academics are most important to me. I currently have a 3.9 GPA, and I am constantly working hard to learn more. I completed two college courses in the summer and really enjoyed them. I’m not exactly sure what I want to major in when I go to college, but I know I want to go into the medical field. I want to find a school where I can continue to grow and develop as a student athlete.
