My love for softball started every since 6th grade when the recreational team I was participating on, went as far as going to Louisiana for the Dixie Youth World Series in 2014 and placing 2nd place. Ever since that moment, softball has been my escape from the real world. Softball has been more like a bundle of lessons that have helped me grow into a young woman. One of the many lessons the game has taught me is never scared to fail. This lesson has given me an open mind to reach for goals such as being a member of many academic clubs. Over the years, I made much connection with not just my teammates but my opponents as well. I have always been a very social person yet, softball has increased my social life to the max.
One of the key things I am grateful for is what others have done for me. I grew up in a hard working family and we can have struggling moments when I needed rides to tournaments. Many teammates and their parents have taken me under their wing and help me for many years and I could not have thanked them enough. In my opinion, softball is about giving all you got and just a little more. From the respect given on and off the field to every swing in the cage, I have learned so much and has leaded others into positive directions. As a driven athlete, I know I can be a great impact on your team.
