I’ve been playing softball since I was about 5, of course then it was just tee ball. Sports have always been a major part of my life, so it seems fitting that it is my dream to play college softball. I haven’t always been the strongest or best player on my team, but I’ve been told I have the most heart. I understand that it takes hard work and sacrifice to get where I want to be. I love the game, it is the one place I can be myself and relax my mind. I’ve had to face fears through softball meeting new people and especially trying out for new teams, even having to do a second tryout because my first one didn’t go so well- thankfully one of the coaches thought I had something worthwhile and stuck up for me saying he thought I deserved another shot. I made the team that second day, and now I’m determined not to let them down.
I’m already pursing my college career. Thanks to the College Credit Plus program at my high school, I have attended all College courses this year (junior year) at a local college Rio Grande University, earning both High School and College credits.
