Hi! My name is Kori Baker, I will be a 2020 graduate of Elida High School. My goals for college include, playing to the highest level of my ability and to push myself to become an asset to a college team. I would like to come out of college with a good education and little debt.
I am a RHP and have several years travel ball experience, I have been told by coaches I am coachable. I work hard and will stay after practice to challenge myself. I believe that you practice as you play so I always practice till I cant get it wrong. I am a power hitter, and usually lead my team in batting averages. Although I am not the fastest on my team I am an aggressive base runner ( I love dive-backs). I pitch several pitches with lots of spin . My change up and curve are my favorite pitches (especially when batters swing). my pitch selection includes: Fast, curve, change up, drop, rise and screw ball. Right now my average fast ball is 56-60 mph. I also challenge myself in the classroom. My grades and education are very important to me and I have good time management skills that keep a balance between academics and sports.
I look forward to my next level of play and meeting new coaches. I feel I would be an asset to a softball program because I work hard, I'm a team player and I just love to play ball.
Thank you for taking the time to consider me for your program. :)
