Angelina Puente '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Angelina Maricia Puente I am a senior at Fostoria High School. I am 5'7, 180lbs, I play first base, and I am a power hitter. I spend my summers playing travel ball for two teams. During the off season I'm going to camps, hitting and fielding lessons with a private coach, I condition and lift as well. When I am not on the field I am working hard in the classroom to achieve my goal to become a nurse. I take pride in myself on and off the field my family and faith in God keeps me grounded. I am an alter server and volunteer my time at my parish. There is a quote that has stuck with me that reminds me to always keep pushing forward. Dr. Randy Paush talks about his favorite expression during his presentation of The Last Lecture. He stated "experience is what you get when you don't get what you want". I always try to remember this when I fall short. It reminds me to find the good in my failure and to keep pushing myself towards my goals.
