Softball has been a very big part of my life and has taught me a lot of life lesson and I would love to continue my journey into college softball. I have watched college softball all my life and when I watch them, I see how they act towards each other on and off the field is amazing, having a team that acts like a family is truly a real team and no one can tell me otherwise.
Challenges are one thing I look forward to in life because challenges make you better at what you are working on or doing. I'm very passionate about anything I do and when I'm passionate about something I do it with all my heart and never quit and when I think about college level sports, I think of how passionate you have to be to keep playing past high school.
I have lived on a ranch my entire life and have been pushed to do my best in anything I do with animals, and I always thanked my parents for that but, I wanted to try something else so I asked my parents if I could join a softball team and they said yes. When I first started playing softball, I thought to myself that I really enjoy playing this sport. When I first started my team wasn't the greatest, but our coach always pushed us to get better in the beginning, we didn't win very many games, but we kept competing with all the other teams and still lost and I started trying to bring my team together and I really think when a girl on the team tries to bring everyone together the team tries harder and plays as a team they will win more games and at that time we were playing for the championship and I told those girls that win or lose I will always play with them or for them sadly we lost but all together i didn't care that we won or lost I cared for those girls like they were my family. The next year came around and I got to play with the same girls I played with for the first time, and we started off strong the beginning and kept getting better, but that year my coach moved me to third base and he told me that I could be a great third base men and all I had to do was work hard at it so that's what I did. I kept getting better at it and it was finally game season time, and I was thinking I was going to get to play in center field but nope my coach told me third, so I went, and in my mind, I was thinking I don't want to let him, or the team down so every ball that was hit to me i took off the chest and got the runner out, my team kept cheering in the dugout when we were up to bat so that got the bats a going we were getting on base and scoring runs. We played our hearts out all season and here came the championship tournament last year we had lost the championship game, so we were determined to win this game, the coin flip was a big thing for the team when we won, we got to start on the field and that's where we were the best at always talking up pitcher up make good plays taking every ball off the chest if it took a bad hop which happens every once and a while. Our team came up to bat and man we were fired up and ready to play we were smoking the ball in gaps getting singles and doubles and driving in runs with coach always giving us a high five when we went by, sadly we didn't get to bat the whole game we had to hold the other team when we were on the dirt. Making diving plays out in the outfield, we came back in, and we were up by ten and the umpire said bottom of two and we all looked at each other knowing when we went back in the field all we had to do was hold the other team and we would win the ballgame, the other team came up to bat and they were hitting the ball pretty good, and we made a few errors but in the end we won the ballgame and when we did we all dog-piled our coach and we was all jumping for joy, I honestly started really loving the game of softball those two years of playing so I kept playing and have never stopped. I got to play one more year with that same team and to this day I would love to play with that same team one more time, but God known that I would continue to play softball no matter what team I was one or how many times my team would lose because I was passionate about play softball and always will be and I want to thank two coaches that have taught me through my years of playing softball and my parents and teammates for always being there for me.
