PERSONAL STATEMENT
My Name is Makayla Burns, I am a 5’10” senior from Chattanooga High School in Oklahoma. I have been playing softball since I was in the first grade. I am a self-motivated, hardworking athlete that desires to play softball at the collegiate level. I primarily play OF and typically bat in the 1-2-3 spot on my high school varsity team. Playing softball has taught me that we all need teamwork to succeed, that confidence is a primary key to a superior performance, and that hard work pays off. I bring talent, determination, organization, and a strong work ethic on and off the field. I have learned the value of being a team player, and to always stay motivated.
I fully understand that academics are a crucial element of college. I have worked extremely hard to succeed in all my classes by applying my strong work ethic and dedication. These distinctive characteristics have allowed to obtain a 4.0 GPA and I will strive to maintain this GPA throughout my high school years. Because I know the importance of having the highest GPA possible is a key element, to having the greatest opportunity to play the game that I love at the highest level.
