Abby Huie '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Abby Huie .  I am a Junior at Howe High school, in Howe Oklahoma.  Foremost, I am a Christian and try to live my life and be a daily example of what a Christian should be.  Since I was a little girl, I have wanted to play ball at the next level.  I am not afraid of hard work and will give 100% to whatever I am doing.  I have lived by this phrase that my Dad wrote on my glove, years ago, by Derek Jeter.  “There may be people who have more talent than you, but there’s no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.  I am a utility player, but my primary position is 3rd and I am more than willing to play anywhere I am needed.

I plan to become a Physician and became  interested in medicine during my Sophomore year when we dissected a cow’s eyeball!  I believe the discipline I have gained through years of sports will help me get through several years of college and Med school.  I plan to obtain as many Concurrent classes, as possible.  I am a two sport athlete and was an active member of the Oklahoma 2021 2A State Championship basketball team,  for Howe High School.
