Softball has always been something I’ve been very passionate about and always enjoyed doing. Playing college softball is something I’ve dreamed about doing since I was a little girl. I’m the type of player that will always give it my all, knows when I can be doing something better on the field and will put the extra time in and be coachable so I can make adjustments to improve myself as a player. On and off the field I lead by example, with strong work ethic, making good life decisions and always holding myself accountable for everything I am working towards. Being more vocal on the field and in the dugout is something I have been working on every year. I am looking for a college coach and team that feels like a family and will challenge me and utilize my strengths and make me better as a player, on and off the field.
One of the things that drives me every day is not ever ending a game and wondering if I could have done something more in practice or been more coachable. This is why I give 100% at practice everyday and something my coach and teammates can attest to. At the end of the season I don't want to wonder if I had worked harder at practice would the outcome have been different. At the beginning of every season I set goals for myself that will push me to be a better athlete and a better teammate. I strive to be a teammate the leads by example and remembers that character is who you are when no one else is watching.
I was 14 when I started playing in ASA tournaments and have every year since. My freshman year in high school I opted to continue travel ball, instead of playing in our high school softball program. My sophomore year I started playing high school softball and was awarded 1st team all-league outfielder and as a junior I received 1st team all-league outfield and honorable mention all-state. My senior year of softball I am working towards 1st team all-league and 1st team all-state outfield recognition, but more importantly bringing home the OSAA 2A softball title.
I also play volleyball and since my freshman year I have played on our varsity team. As a sophomore, my volleyball team won the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) 2A volleyball state championship and my junior year, our team took 2nd at the OSAA state volleyball championship and I was awarded 2nd team all-league as a front row hitter.
After high school I plan on getting a degree in nursing or elementary education. School has always been my number one priority because good grades is part of being a great teammate. Softball has always been the one thing that makes me feel confidant in myself, I love the game and how it can bring together teams like families. That is what I am looking for at the next level.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
