I have been playing softball since I was a girl in Little League. I had always wanted to be a pitcher, and I started pitching in-game when I was playing in the Minor Leagues. I have endeavored to develop my skills since this time by going to college clinics and using online resources. Unfortunately, due to my location in a small town (with a population of only around 2000), I am unable to have any connections with private pitching lessons, and am also unable to play softball outside of my high school team. My head and assistant high school coaches help me all that they can, but I also do not have access to a pitching coach. Therefore, I work as hard as I can to learn new skills by myself and with the support of my family.
Along with my role as a pitcher, I am also very interested in playing the first base position. I hope to have more time to play this position and develop my skills in-game during my senior year.
I think that playing collegiate softball would be an amazing opportunity. I work very hard both on and off the field, and I want to keep pursuing my goal of pitching for a college team after I graduate high school.
