I believe the following makes me a great college prospect:
My number one pitch is the screw ball. It doesn’t seem like many pitchers lead with that pitch so batters are less prepared and make less solid contact.
I am also able to move the ball up well with my riseball and to the left well with my curve ball, so this keeps batters guessing and looking in many directions.
I have strong spin and movement on all these pitches, including natural movement on my fastball.
I have consistently held a very high strike percentage, resulting in accurate spots, few walks and low pitch counts.
I tend to pitch many weak hit balls, resulting in many easily fielded outs.
I give up very few home runs. I gave up only 2 home runs facing over 525 batters in a very challenging 2018/2019 Gold 18U schedule.
Other than softball skills, I believe I have a very determined, positive, and likeable personality that helps my teams succeed. The head softball writer for the Morning Call newspaper, in our playoff wins leading to the high school league championship game, described me as the pitcher “who doesn’t let anything faze her.”
