Personal Statement

My name is Emma Weaver. I am a 2025 student/athlete that plays multiple sports while maintaining a 4.1 Grade Point Average and received highest honors multiple times. As a Junior I was accepted into the National Honors Society. My primary position is pitcher which I started in 8u Club Softball. In travel I also play Left Field or Center Field when I am not pitching, but I am athletic and can play other positions. I made Varsity as a freshman, sophomore and Junior starting every game pitching or playing in the field. I currently play for the Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners-White 25/26, and I’ve been a Roadrunner since 9u. I am quick and can bunt, but I am known as a contact hitter.

I aspire to excel in my collegiate years by playing softball at the highest level my talents will bring me while furthering myself in a degree that will fulfill my future self. Creating memories and having fun doing it and any experiences I have along the way will just be a plus good or bad. In life you will always have some type of team by your side and conquering a goal together is what it’s all about.

Batting Lessons

I Started with a new batting coach end of last year and am seeing huge improvements. I went from batting toward the end of the lineup to batting first now.
Pitching Lessons
9 years
I started pitching when I was 7 years old. I throw a fastball, curve, drop curve, screwball and changeup. Curve is my Goto pitch.
Weight Lifting and Calisthenics

I am now attending a D1 training facility for my weight training. I train 5 days a week between legs and upper body with a training coach. I have noticed significant changes already and strength. I am throwing harder and hitting the ball further.

Yes. Freshman year I was in a higher Math and Honors History. As a sophomore I was in Honors English, Honors History, and Honors Trigonometry/Pre-Calculus. As a junior I am in AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP English and Honors/CHS Psychology and Honors World Cultures and Geography.

ActivitiesI am learning to snowboard, but it never seems to snow anymore which makes it difficult. Learning to drive is a new one, but I am confident I will conquer that even when my dad closing his eyes. I love to paint, but do not always get enough time to do so. I have an ear for music. In the summer I go hiking with my family. My mom can never keep up, but she tries. I am in Club Hope, SAVE Club, Middle School Mentoring, Welcome Warriors, and Peace Club. I wish I had time to do more, but the days fill up and go by too fast.
