Kayla Ruperto '19 Recruiting Profile

Dear prospective coach,

My name is Kayla Ruperto and I will be a 2019 graduate from Laurel High School in New Castle, Pa.  I currently have a 4.365 GPA with honor classes and finished this past school year with high honors and received the presidential academic award.  I am excited and enthusiastic of the opportunity to attend a college or university that will prepare me for years to come with my passion for the science and health field industry. 

As a starting freshman pitcher this year, I was honored with athlete of the month by MSA Sports for May 2016, Lawrence County accolades including athlete of the week, female county all-stars, 2015 – 2016 female athlete of the year candidate, and WPIAL (Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League) ranked no. 2 in most strike-outs for a single season (227).  I was also recognized by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as all section class AA, section V pitcher.

I recognize the sacrifice, dedication, and hard work that it takes to lay the foundation for the road to be successful in both the classroom and athletic field.  I am a disciplined and highly motivated individual that is relentless in my pursuit for the best that I can be.  Weather it is after school for an extra credit  opportunity to raise an A to an A⁺ or pushing myself beyond my limits at the CrossFit gym, on thing is for certain, hard work and discipline never fail.  I believe this quality is a gift that I can share in a team setting and provide a valuable contribution.
