Olivia Thornton '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello! 

My name is Via Thornton. I love softball and have been playing it since I was 5 years old. My goal is to be the best that I can be! I think that I would be a good candidate for a team because I love to be a team player. It doesn't matter how good you are, if you do not have the right attitude, you cannot benefit the team. Whether we are up in the game or down we should always have high energy, always be positive, supportive of each other, respectful and professional. What makes me different from other athletes is that I will never quit trying and I will always work to help and support my teammates. I believe it is important to work on both your mental and physical health and that having the right positive attitude can really make a difference. I push myself and work hard because I want to be part of a team and  play softball in college and I know that doing this takes dedication, commitment, motivation, confidence and focus.
