My name is Allison O’Brien, I am a Senior at Penns Valley Area High School, a public school located in Centre County, PA. In the future I plan to get my bachelors degree in Psychology, and then pursue my masters degree, to become a clinical psychologist. I chose this path because I enjoy helping others and helping them do what they love. Softball has helped me to make this choice, because throughout my career as a softball player, there have been numerous individuals that have helped me to maintain my mental and physical health and grow stronger as a person and an athlete. Softball has always been my one true passion and my escape from all of the curve balls life throws at me. My family, coaches and friends have all helped me to pursue my passion and grow as a person. My ultimate goal is to play softball at the next level, and work hard to increase my skills and continue to grow in the game. Throughout my high school career I have challenged myself, not only with softball, but also with my academics. I am a member of the Penns Valley National Honors Society and I am enrolled in honors courses and AP courses. I understand that as a student athlete, the most important part is the student portion. I know that balancing academics and softball is a challenge, but it is one that I am willing to face. Throughout my life, softball and my education has played a huge role in shaping me to be the person I am today. I am ready to work hard and grow as a person and an athlete.
Thank you for setting aside the time to read a little bit about me!
