Personal Statement

I am an 10th Grader at Penns Valley Area High School in Spring Mills, Pennsylvania. I have aspirations of playing college softball at the highest level I can possibly achieve. I work tremendously hard all year at my sport. This past season, my sophomore year, I was selected as 1st Team Mountain League and 1st Team All-District as a Short Stop. My dedication to improving my body through regimented strength and conditioning that I have done with professionals for the last two years has helped me make consistent improvements as an athlete. First, nothing comes before my family. Next, I put in whatever time necessary to achieve academic success as well. Your grades and work ethic will open doors for you. I am also a dedicated teammate. I believe that individual accolades can only be achieved through team success. A players ability to work to be a positive member of a team and be coachable in every aspect is very important. You must be willing to make personal sacrifices for your team. My family functions under several pillars of character: Honesty, Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility and Caring. We believe if you live by these pillars you will be a good person, student and athlete.

We have won 120 games over the last two years. This is a collection of girls from only two school districts in Central Pennsylvania. We have placed high in large tournaments around the Mid-Atlantic region and won 14 tournaments over this time.

I've worked with various professionals that have utilized age appropriate training based on my physical abilities and progress. My travel team is also attached to an indoor facility where I work with a hitting coach and practice regularly.
