Kayla Burleson Pi...Personal Statement
From a young age, I fell in love with softball and I wouldn’t have it any other way. From that point on, I have dedicated my time and effort solely to the sport. I learned softball is a roller coaster of ups and downs and if you fall you have to pick yourself right back up and learn from your mistakes. My competitiveness has also pushed me to be the best player, teammate, and overall athlete I can be. There is always more to learn from the people and coaches around you, and being able to develop into a better hitter, pitcher, and fielder is my goal. Playing for a competitive college has always been a huge dream of mine and would be a once in a lifetime opportunity and experience. In the future, I plan on continuing to balance softball, academics, life, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.
