I would like to earn a college degree that I can use to become a successful and happy adult/employee. I am extremely competitive between the lines, however, I like to have fun while playing. I enjoy the competitive nature of softball, but what makes it really enjoyable is doing it with teammates and friends. Even when things are not going well for me during a particular game, I still like to be the biggest cheerleader for my teammates. They pick me up just like I will pick them up when needed.
I play multiple positions, and enjoy that role. During the high school season, I catch about 95% of the time. After my freshman year I was selected to 2nd Team all-division by the coaches. Last season I was selected as the 1st team all-division catcher. With my travel team I play many positions in addition to catcher. I spend most of the time playing second base, catching, and some time in the outfield . I like the fact that my coach can trust me to play in multiple positions.
I have also been involved in club gymnastics since I was 5 years old. I have competed locally, regionally, and nationally. I have placed numerous times at all levels. I compete for my high school team which just went undefeated and captured the state title, and I was selected to 3rd team all-division for the second straight season.
Academically, I have always been an honor roll student and rank 38th out of 199 in my class. I take nothing but college prep and honors courses. I am also a member of my school's student executive board where we make decisions about the direction of school activities.
