Hi, My Name is Emily Merriam
I'm a class of 2015 graduate at Carolina Forest High School in Myrtle Beach SC. I am 16 years old I am 5'7" tall, weigh 130lbs I have been pitching softball for 5 years now. I have taken pitching lessons steadily for the past 5 years. I have been pitching for my high school team since 7th grade, and have gone 46 - 7 with 2 saves finishing my sophomore year. In 2012 I was the winning pitcher for our Lower State AAAA championship team, and was 6 - 0 in important regional games. I was selected to the 4A all regional 1st team in both my freshman and sophomore years.
My parents and I would like for me to play softball at a school fairly close to our location here in Myrtle Beach, and I would hope that I can make a significant contribution to the team as early as possible. My academic interests are mainly in science and math, and I am particularly looking to major in Nursing, with other health care professions a consideration too. Tuition and living expenses will also factor in our decision to select a school, and we will investigate all options in getting help for funding my education. I believe that really good competition is played at all division levels, but my goal is to compete against the best. I would be most interested in a mid to large size school, with an active student body and potential to qualify and play in the CWS.
