Softball isn't just a sport to me. Softball isn't just a game. In softball, you need a lot of little things to make something big happen. I listen to all types of criticism, constructive or not. I might do a good job during a game in everyone's eyes but to me, I see everything that needs to be worked on. I'm constantly looking for things to improve. I can be harsh on myself at times and I need to work on it. I think we can all be harsh on ourselves about something when it's important enough. I hit on both sides of the plate. I don't mean slapping. I'm a confident power-hitter on both sides of the plate.
As far as school goes, like every athlete, I take my grades seriously, I go to teachers when I need help, as for extra work so I can do better on tests and stay as long as I need to better my grades when I know I can. I know I'm good at school but I defiantly have my doubts at times and blow myself away when I see a good grade even though I thought I did terribly. I do my best every day, practice or game, and on every test. Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
