I have been playing softball my whole life, and I love the sport! I am on a league/travel team for the USA/ASA softball league in Rapid City, South Dakota. My team is called the Rapid City Punishers, our head coach is Steve Deming, and our assistant coach is Jeremy Johnson. I am also a soccer player in the fall, although I do like softball more. Softball is more than just a game to me, it has taught me life lessons I didn't even know I needed. I go to Saint Thomas More High School (STM) here in Rapid City, South Dakota. I love STM, they are a college preparatory school, so the classes are difficult but I can do it. My goal is to play college softball, it has been my dream since I was a little girl. I went through a rough patch in softball where I wasn't very good, and my coach wasn't playing me. I didn't complain to her, because I knew then, that I needed to work harder than anyone on the team to prove to her and myself that I was a good player. I worked hard putting in extra hours and never giving up. I succeeded in that goal and ended up playing a lot! I have a 3.9 GPA right now and I am in 3 advanced classes, I try my hardest to get good grades because I know that if I want to play college sports, I need to put in the work in the classroom as well. Thank you for reading my personal statement!
