I started playing ball in 2005. I was a very active kid and wanted to do any and every sport. As soon as I picked up the ball, I fell in love and haven't put it down since. The more I played and the older I got, I became a student of the game. I wanted to be the best athlete I could possibly be. When I was younger, my family and coaches would always say how certain plays are played over and over in their heads. I would think that they said it just to push us harder. Now I am the one who stays up wondering if I could have made a better play, could I have done more, should I have done this instead of this. I truly have fell in love with this game and want to take my career as far as I can. I know that I wouldn't be bale to get as far as I want without my dad. Whenever we are home and able to practice, we do. He pitches to me to hit and throws ground balls for me to catch. Another important person in my life is Mark Clark with The Sportscenter in Ripley, TN. I go to lessons with him once a week. My parents joke that I do not know what an offseason is because I am always doing something such as hitting into the net or throwing to my brother. My goals for the near future is to be one of the best team players that has ever come through Brighton High School and to be an unselfish player. I do not only want myself to achieve success but also my team. My goal is to continue playing softball in college.
My travel coach is Ashleigh Hicks. She played collegiate level ball and coaches at South Panola High School in Mississippi. Coach Hicks is the best coach that I have had the opportunity to play for or seen coach in tournaments. Every minute of the game she is coaching. If you make a mistake, she does not yell, she teaches you what you did wrong and how to improve. We have coaches from other teams tell us that she is the best coach they have every watched coach. She makes me want to go the extra mile and give everything I've got and then some. She has complimented me on my hard work and dedication to the game. She has also complimented me on my heart and love for the game. She is very open and honest about our ability and puts us in positions were she thinks we will excel.
My top five schools are University of North Alabama, MTSU, University of Tennessee at Martin, Austin Peay University, and Tennessee Tech. My dream college is Mississippi State. I went to a team camp there and fell in love with the campus and staff. MTSU is where both my parents graduated college. It would be awesome to walk in their footsteps and play for their alma mater. My cousins attended UTM. I have visited their campus on many occasions and enjoyed my time there.
