My name is Hailey Leslie. I am a rising junior at Walker Valley High School. I have been a recipient of the "Circle of Champions" for the last two years, which involves honors classes, volunteer service hours, and excellent attendance. I love every aspect of school which includes classes, clubs, community service, athletics, and friendships. My academics are a priority, but being part of a team creates a family atmosphere with life long relationships, teamwork and character.
In addition to my education and family , softball has been instrumental in shaping me in who I am today. Softball has taught me to work hard, become self-disciplined, resilient, selfless, and a team player. I enjoy the trust and bond between teammates that brings success. Through this process I have overcome adversity, fear, and self doubt. These qualities will benefit me in the field and in life. I would describe myself as kind, compassionate, responsible, trustworthy, and empathetic. When others describe me, the player that smiles a lot usually comes to mind. I enjoy the game, the competition, and the challenge of the day.
I pride myself with learning as much about the game as possible. I enjoy being on the field and playing any position needed by the coach or team. Through experience, I have played almost every position except catcher. My primary position is a pitcher, which I love because of the challenge and the test to be your personal best. It is a leadership role that encourages others.
My desire is to find the "right fit" and play softball at the collegiate level. I plan to attend a college or university that will push me academically and on the field. I want to be a role model, inspiring, and the best teammate possible. I am open to all opportunities and considerations. Thank you!
