Jordan Parker '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jordan Parker. I am a 17-year-old softball player who is looking to further my career and experience life as a college athlete. I am a passionate, driven, self-starter who likes challenges. I have found that when I there is something I want to do; I strive to be the best I can be and to the best of my ability.  

 I have played softball for the past 12 years since the age of 4. At the age of 9 I really developed a love for the sport and it was then that I decided I wanted to give it my all and develop my skills. This sport has brought me joy and pushed me to and beyond my limits. My favorite softball moment thus far was taking the mound my freshman year as a relief pitcher and not allowing any hits in the 2 innings I pitched and assisting in 5 of the 6 outs from those innings.  Another memorable moment was assisting in A triple play with my travel team. Softball is an extremely challenging, so I am always encouraged to try my hardest and work to improve so that I can become the athlete I aspire to be. When it comes to choosing a school to play I am open minded and am just wishing to go somewhere where I can continue to play softball with a group of great girls and great coaches.    While I strive to do my best on the field; 

I am aware that will one day come to an end, so I also strive to do my best academically. Without the grades I wouldn’t be able to play the game I love. I use my drive and hunger to aim to always do my best both on the field and in the classroom. I plan to major in Architecture and Design. I have always had a passion for art but over the last few years I have grown to love drafting. If I am able to find a school where both my softball career and academic career can go hand in hand, I am willing to put in the effort it takes to try my hardest, and accomplish, what I wish for.
