The highlight of my softball career so far has been competing in the Colorado Sparkler Tournament in the 18u division at the age of fourteen. This opportunity stemmed from starting varsity on my high school team as a freshman. However, I feel as though these were not the opportunities that have shaped me most as a player or as a person. Instead what shaped me most was being injured in high school, as I had to sit for three weeks and watch my team during games and help during practice, I learned how to lead even if I was not currently on the field. As a student-athlete I have always had the work-ethic to be competitive in both the classroom and on the field. And through this I have grown as a person; learning that I want to become a doctor after I finish college.
I am not only looking for a program that will fit with me athletically, but academically as well, as I aspire to become a doctor. Through this I feel as though I have the talent, the work-ethic, the commitment, and the perseverance to make an impact on your college and your team.
