My name is Addie Roberts, and I am currently a junior at Westview High School. My collegiate goals include majoring in biology with aspirations to work in the health care field while playing softball at the collegiate level. My parents are both in health care, and I understand the commitment it takes to get to the next level with graduate and pre-professional schools. I have a passion for softball, and I have a strong desire to play at the collegiate level. I want to be part of a team on the field where I can build friendships and relationships with teammates and coaches. Division levels are not my greatest concern, but practicing and playing with teammates and coaches who want to succeed is key. I am driven and motivated, and I want to be part of a winning culture that will push me to be a successful student-athlete. I have played softball since age eight, and I have been part of both basketball and softball middle school and high school teams which were highly successful. I have been part of a high school basketball team that went to the state final four as a freshman and won a State Championship as a sophomore, and I have been a two year starter on my high school softball team that has been to sub-state. In addition, I have played travel ball tournaments all over the southeast and competed against some of the best players and teams over the last two years. At the same time I have taken honors classes, AP classes, and dual credit classes while staying in the top ten percent of my class and maintained a 4.3 GPA. I understand the time, commitment, and sacrifice it takes to achieve this level of success in academics and athletics. I am also an active leader in academic clubs, community service, and church. I strive to always be a motivator and positive teammate despite challenges the team may face. I understand winning programs do not happen without leaders, team-players, and motivators. I know I have the necessary type of dedication, personality, and self-sacrifice to contribute to a successful collegiate team. I look forward to finding a school where I can be part of a winning culture in softball and achieve my academic goals.
