Hello everyone,
My name is Leiyah Arriana Ayala and I started playing softball at the age of 9 years old. My parents put me in many other activities but when it came to softball it did not take me long to realize I loved the sport. I am going on my 3rd year playing for Manvel High School and I aspire to play in college after I graduate. I am a great candidate because I have longed for this moment and have envisioned playing college softball for some time. Academically I have kept up my grades by overcoming every struggle that has come my way with confidence, persistence, bravery, and prayer. My parents have been my biggest motivators and #1 fans, along with my big family that has always motivated me to keep pushing forward and reminding me that anything is possible if I set goals, and work hard consistently. I am a highly motivated, passionate player with a desire to learn and grow. I love to challenge myself to get stronger and faster and better by finding high-level players to be around. I play on multiple teams and pick up on additional teams when time allows. When I'm not on the field, I prefer to spend my time serving my community. I volunteer at New Hope Church on the production & lighting team. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to grow in my education and my passion for softball. I am a utility player. I have spent several seasons as a second baseman, shortstop, and center field. I have worked on speed to be a more effective outfielder. I have had a unique softball career. I developed with a group of friends that lead us to Select together. It was there that I discovered just how passionate I am about the sport. I dedicated every additional moment I had to development. While many of my middle school friends were exploring other sports, I continued to solidify my love for softball. I put myself out there. I got stronger, faster, and worked harder. I was eventually offered a position on multiple teams before committing to Beautiful Beasts. It was new development there too. But I took the challenge as an opportunity to develop as a leader. To encourage my teammates and to help drive the same passion I have for the game. We have had an incredible time building relationships as well as success. A Team that can bond, have positive attitudes with a solid work ethic is bound to find success. I am incredibly lucky to be a part of the journey.
Bonus: I am a lefty : )
Sincerely,
Leiyah Arriana Ayala
