Personal Statement

I am a 5'9" senior from Castroville, TX with a passion for softball and a desire to compete at the college level.  I have started on the Medina Valley High School varsity softball team for four years now and as a freshman was named the 28 4A All-District Newcomer of the Year in 2011. My sophomore year has been a dream come true as I accomplished some personal goals by starting and competing at the varsity level in five sports including Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, and Softball. Despite my hectic athletic schedule, I have been able to balance my academics, maintain a solid GPA, as well as participate in other extra curricular activities such as FCA, FFA, Youths Acts, Student Council, and the National Honor Society.

As I look forward to college and softball at the collegiate level, I am looking for a school that will give me a similar balance and allow me to excel and grow personally on and off the field.  I plan to study Kinesiology in preparation for a career in Physical Therapy while fulfilling my dream of excelling in college as a student athlete in the sport I love, Softball!  Simply stated, I love the game and I love to compete.

I am looking for a school that will challenge me academically as well as athletically. I am also hopeful that my athleticism, drive, determination, work ethic, willingness to be instructed, and humble attitude will open some doors and allow me to fulfill my childhood dream.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
