I feel like growing up as a girl in a competitive house full of boys was all I needed to have the extra edge on others. I started off playing baseball with the boys at the young age of four. I found myself always among the best of them. I went to the state championships as an all-star, four years back to back. At nine years old I realized it was time to move on from being just one of the boys and define myself as a young and athletic lady, softball here I come.
As i jumped all in for softball, I skipped out on league ball and went right into the traveling tournament teams. It was then, I found my love for the game. I practiced to be perfect while always knowing perfect was unreachable. I learned about true teamwork, dedication and hustle.
My freshman year I was excited to be chosen for the varsity softball team, this was a pretty big milestone for me. During that year I was chosen as All District 16–4A Honorable Mention Player of the Year. In short closing, I love to win, both on the field and in the classroom. I believe I am the hard-working student athlete your program is looking for and my faith in the Lord will help guide me to my college
